Today we are going to listen to an interview between Dr. Jimmy Deyoung (Prophecy Today) and Winkie Medad, former mayor of Shiloh (once the location of the Tabernacle for over 350 years) about the debate that is going on in the United States regarding the location of Herod’s Temple, whether in the City of David or on the Temple Mount (also known in the Islamic religion as Haram al-Sharif).
This interview between Dr. Jimmy Deyoung and Winkie Medad about the location of the Temple is essential for those who study bible prophecy because according to the prophetic texts, the next Temple (the 3rd Temple) will not be completed until after the Rapture of the Church, some time during the Tribulation Period.
This will be the Temple that the Anti-Christ will enter, preform the abomination of desolation (Dan 9:27), proclaim to be God, and then demand to be worshiped:
- “Now concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our being gathered together to him, we ask you, brothers, 2 not to be quickly shaken in mind or alarmed, either by a spirit or a spoken word, or a letter seeming to be from us, to the effect that the day of the Lord has come.3 Let no one deceive you in any way. For that day will not come, unless the rebellion comes first, and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the son of destruction,[c]4 who opposes and exalts himself against every so-called god or object of worship, so that he takes his seat in the temple of God, proclaiming himself to be God.” – 2 Thess 2:1-4
Again this will not happen until after the Rapture of the Church, when the Anti-Christ will make his grand appearance onto the world stage and confirms peace between Israel and their Arab neighbors. This will mark the beginning of the Tribulation Period and allow the Jewish people to finally build their Temple on God’s holy mountain, the Temple Mount:
- “27 And he will make a firm covenant with the many for one week, but in the middle of the week he will put a stop to sacrifice and grain offering; and on the wing of abominations will come one who makes desolate, even until a complete destruction, one that is decreed, is poured out on the one who makes desolate.” – Dan 9:27
